Goldilocks And The Three Dubs...

Once upon a time there was a very pretty girl who loved rubbadubbin in Veedubs.
And also once upon the same time there was  a little, wee, small, tiny Dub called Baby Dub, a middle sized Dub called Mama Dub and a great humungious big monster Dub called Papa Dub.
And one day the Dub family went for a drive in the country.
And Papa Dub, in his great big, humungious manly manner said 'Someone's been rubbadubbing in my Dub.'
And Mama Dub said, in her warm whispering womanly woice said 'Someone's been rubbadubbing in my Dub.'
And Baby Dub said in his suddenly husky manly voice said 'Someone's rubbadubbing in my Dub right now and I like it!'
And when last I heard, Goldilocks and Baby Dub were still happily rubbadubbing in their Dub.
Don't you just love stories with happy endings...

This Elderly Chinese Couple Are Freedom Camping In The Middle Of The Motorway...

It wasn't always like this. Duck farmer Luo Baogen and his wife have been living in their house in China's city of Wenling in Zhejiang Province for a long time, and the authorities have built the motorway around the elderly couple's home.
Because they've had to.
It's not that Luo and his wife enjoy living in the fast lane, but they refuse to leave until the government pays them a more generous amount to move.
And the couple are within their rights under The Republic of China's new laws making it illegal to demolish a property without a mutual agreement.
Power to The Little People...
Update. December 1 at 7.45 pm.
The house has now been demolished after Luo and his wife agreed to a compensation offer of 260,000 yuan.

An Amazing Green Roofed City In The Sky Above Indonesia's Jakarta. A Hotchpotch Or A Pie In The Sky...

An international design team led by MVRDV have collaborated to create this amazing 400 metre tall city in the sky named Peruri 88.
The photos are so good that it looks like the real thing and not some pie in the sky.
But that's all it is. For now.
Another monument to Mammon it may be
but it's a conglomeration of several different buildings stacked atop, juxtaposed if you like, at different angles to create this, this hotchpotch or depending where you come from,
a hodge-podge...

Seventy Two Year Old Chinese Grandfather Becomes Teen Fashion Modelling Sensation...

Seventy two year old Liu Xianping was having fun as seventy two year old grandfathers do, helping unpack new stock for his granddaughters fashion store. And he put on some garments. Just for fun. His granddaughter and her four partners thought it was very funny and started taking photos of Grandpa Liu.
And the rest as they say, is history.
Liu Xianping became an instant celebrity and an internet sensation. The online sales of Yuekou's teen fashions have gone through the roof.
Now they need a new roof.
Said Grandpa Liu.
Modelling for my granddaughter is fun.
I'm very old and all I care about is to be happy.
I'm with you Grandpa...

Jypsy Jude. Queen Of New Zealand's Housetruckers...

Jypsy Jude is Queen of New Zealand's Housetruckers.
She has in her fifty years on the road, in one of over thirty housebuses and housetrucks she's owned, mostly Bedfords, covered many thousands of miles, seen and been seen in most parts of the country and brought much pleasure to all she's met.
These days she can sometimes be found with one of two Gypsy Fairs that travel the country.
She paints her very distinctive pictures, does Tarot readings and delights all with her style and presence.
I caught up with her a couple of weeks ago..
As always, she made my day.
There's an earlier post about Jypsy Jude here...

The World's Longest Word Has 189,819 Letters And Takes Three And A Half Hours To Speak It Out Loud...

The longest word in the English language is evidently the full chemical name for titin which is a protein found in the human body.
It takes this man, who is not a slow reader, three and a half hours to say this word with its 189,819 letters, out loud.
During this time, worldwide, 51,443 babies
will be born and 22,365 people will die.
You'll have better things to do with your lives, even if it's watching paint dry, and although, like me, you won't understand a damn thing, you might like to have a quick look here...

I wandered as one does, away from the world,
through the woods, amongst the trees, into another beautiful time and place.
And found peace and quiet in Cabinporn land.
It's always good to go there, there's always inspirations for living simply and more importantly, simply living...

This Golfer Got More Than His Hole In One...

John Foley played his dream shot at New Zealand's Mount Maunganui Golf Club just the other day.
Not only did his ball align perfectly with the hole but other numbers contrived to align in some weird way also.
He used an 8 iron on the 9th hole on the 10th day of the 11th month on the 12th year of this century.
What does it all mean?
I haven't a clue.
It probably just means he was very lucky...

Tiny Homes On Wheels From Way Back When...

Life wasn't boring way back then.
Those who had the time and the money would indulge themselves by getting away
from it all in gorgeous old motorhomes,
buses and carvans.
The 1930 Morris Oxford, A 1959 Bedford Dormobile, A 1936 Chevrolet and a 1939 Chevrolet. The 1937 Ford.
Sorry I don't know what the next one is but the last one says Sam is a Citroen U23 Bus...
